Michael Birch has in excess of 27 years professional experience in legal, private practice and has extensive experience in the areas of criminal law, civil litigation, commercial contracts, commercial litigation, building disputes, franchise disputes, Succession Act disputes, Property Relationships Act disputes, domestic and commercial conveyancing, probate, mediations and Trade Practices.  His experience when acting for clients in alternative dispute resolution has been invaluable.

During this period Michael Birch has been engaged in various alternative dispute resolution models such as conciliation, arbitration, negotiation and mediation.  These models have become increasingly, integral in the legal process of dispute resolution.

Michael Birch is actively involved in acting for clients as well as acting in the role of the neutral mediator.

Michael Birch has been formally trained in the mediation process and in particular that process focused on interest based outcomes as opposed to the usual multi-party dispute process where one party wins all.
