Michael has in excess of 27 years professional experience in private practice and has extensive experience in the areas of criminal law, civil litigation, commercial contracts, commercial litigation, Succession Act matters, Property Relationships Act matters, domestic and commercial conveyancing, probate, mediations and Trade Practices.

Michael Birch holds a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Laws from Macquarie University and was admitted as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of NSW and High Court of Australia in 1983.

His professional affiliations include membership with the Law Society of New South Wales and the St George Regional Law Society. He has served on the Board of Directors at Bankstown and New South Wales Golf Clubs and as the Chairman of the Judiciary for The Australian Indoor Soccer Association.
